NASBM London Regional Conference
The regional conferences provide members with a tangible benefit as they provide practitioners from across the sector with opportunities to have a rich and meaningful dialogue, peer to peer, about how they can improve the life chances of children and deliver a world-class education system.
Each of the regional conferences are planned to allow for a small exhibition to run alongside the one-day event, providing delegates with an opportunity to meet suppliers face-to-face and assist in the procurement cycle.
The events are solely dedicated to the school business management professional, where all content is tailored specifically to the audience. The regional conferences help to build on the reputation of SBM professionals, supporting members to carry out their current role more effectively and assisting them with their career development. They can really help to focus the mind and define your strategy.
The 2017 regional conferences will focus on ‘Financial Efficiency’ as we appreciate that this is the most pressing issue in schools, as practitioners are faced with preparing and delivering balanced budgets, against a backdrop of uncertainty with the delay of the national funding formula and real-term reductions in funding.
The conference will look at areas that schools can review to achieve further efficiencies and draw on practitioners that have both identified and delivered these efficiencies. The event will include workshops and sessions on budget planning, staffing - retention and recruitment costs, ICT infrastructure and how the cloud may hold efficiency solutions.
